Delta ad targets European business
Delta Air Lines has launched a new European advertising campaign to coincide with the company’s largest international expansion.The ad is called Sanctuary and has been created by Ogilvy & Mather. It focuses on the airline’s BusinessElite service and is being run on Sky News, CNN, BBC World, Euro News and Discovery Channel. Media is being handled by Media Planning Group.
The BusinessElite service offers ergonomic seating with a 160 degree recline and no middle seat. Passengers have a personal telephone and can dine from a five course menu.
The airline is also introducing an interactive marketing suite that it is inviting passengers to visit at airports and city locations. The “Delta toolkit” is a five metre square mock fuselage complete with putting green and seating area.
The airline has launched 11 new transatlantic routes since the beginning of the year. Manager marketing communications Europe Claudia Neuhoff said: “With 11 new routes being launched across the Atlantic this summer, our new commercial aims to highlight our award-winning BusinessElite service and show how our passengers have the space and comfort in-flight to sit back and relax.”
