Buenos Aires looks to first gay-friendly hotel

The first five-star hotel to cater to a gay clientele is being built in Beunos Aires, Argentina according to Agence France Presse.The $3.5 million Spanish-Argentine project, located near the historic San Telmo district, will have five floors and two swimming pools.

Investors include Argentina’s former tourism secretary, Hernan Lombardi, and Spanish firm Axel Group, which owns a similar hotel in Barcelona.

The Buenos Aires hotel will be a “cosmopolitan boutique hotel that will host the gay community, which for many years has felt that it was not well served” in other hotels, Axel Group owner Juan Julia told AFP.
