NH Hoteles has announced the acquisition of a new hotel in London, the NH Kensington. The investment, made jointly with the real estate company Losan, was €51 M. Losan has contributed 70% and NH Hoteles participates with 30%. The hotel will be leased by NH Hoteles.
The NH Kensington is a four-star hotel, on Cromwell Road, in South Kensington (Chelsea), one of the most exclusive areas in London, very near the Science and History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall.
The hotel, which is expected to open in the third quarter of this year, has 121 rooms and suites, as well as 14 residential 2-room apartments, a restaurant seating 120, a bar, a garden terrace, two reception rooms and a car parking. The building has a recently restored Victorian front. Inside it is modern, practical and functional, decorated in the NH Hoteles style.
The rooms provide all the comforts that are standard in NH Hoteles: direct phone line, satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet connection, minibar, air conditioning, bath kit, hair dryer, à la carte pillows and room service.
Losan has reached an agreement with NH Hoteles for it to share in the purchase and manage the NH Kensington. This is the hotel firm’s second hotel in the United Kingdom. By doing so, NH Hoteles continues to expand into the United Kingdom, and now has 350 rooms in all in the city.
