Mexicana de Aviacion announced the launch of a non-stop flight service between Mexico City and New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning June 1st. The new Mexico City-JFK flight has been created to accommodate the growing demand of passengers traveling between the two destinations and will offer business travelers a direct route to the economic centers of the United States and Mexico, as well as connections to exotic beach destinations for the leisure traveler.

Mexicana expects 2,000 passengers per month to take advantage of the route.

“We are very pleased to increase our frequencies based on travel demand,” said Esteban Salazar, Mexicana’s Regional Vice President of Sales, East Coast. “With the growing number of travelers of Mexican descent residing in the NY Tri State Area, this route is much needed for back and forth traveling,” Salazar added.

As with all Mexicana flights, the MEX-JFK route will offer Mexicana’s exclusive and unique services, which include complimentary drinks and cocktails throughout the cabin, hot meals prepared by world-renowned chef Patricia Quintana, and quality service unrivaled in the industry. Additionally, Mexicana will soon offer service enhancements such as Video Box, a new in-flight entertainment system.

The new flight will operate daily, departing Mexico City at 5:30 pm and returning to New York City at 9:55 pm. Mexicana currently has seven flights departing weekly from JFK.
