This week,, the leading provider of online lodging reservations to the budget, independent and youth travel market, added new language platforms to its customer booking capabilities. This brings the total languages available on the website to 15.

The new languages are provided to serve customers from new markets where is experiencing significant booking growth. These added offerings include the European languages Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Dutch and Portuguese, in addition to the Eastern European languages of Czech, Hungarian and Polish. Along with English, previously existing languages include French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. has also experienced enormous growth in bookings from Asia, particularly the Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean markets, leading to the addition of these languages on the site.

Niamh Ni Mhir, marketing director, said “Travel is an international endeavour, and so is our customer base, with more than 40 percent of our customers coming from non-English speaking countries. Adding these new languages makes it even easier for these customers to book reservations. We plan to add even more languages in the future, with Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Slovak and Indian coming online later this year”
