The multi-year renewal deal further equips Kanoo Travel with sophisticated tools that drive operational efficiency, enhance customer service, reduce costs and increase revenues through Sabre Travel Network Middle East’s provision of enhanced technology services, bookable travel products and distribution services.

“Kanoo Travel has used Sabre solutions for several years and our multi-year renewal agreement allows us to further extend our partnership with a technology and content provider whose growth strategy is driven by a committed presence throughout the region. This has created tremendous value for our agency community far beyond competitor offerings,” said Mr. Abdulla M Abo Khamseen, executive general manager, Kanoo Travel.

The agreement enables travel consultants to gain access to enriched functionality through the MySabre
web-based booking tool that combines traditional products bookable in the Sabre system, such as airlines, car hire, hotels, cruise and rail, with content from the Internet and third-party suppliers.

Travel consultants across Kanoo Travel’s network are also being trained by Sabre’s specialised trainers on the company’s latest and enhanced solutions and ongoing support is also accessible round-the-clock through the company’s telephone help desk facilities in both Bahrain and Dubai.

“We believe Sabre is well positioned to provide us with enhanced access to travel products demanded by the diverse customer segments we serve.  Sabre’s powerful booking engine also provides access to the latest e-ticketing technology that enables reduced ticketing costs, swifter customer service, and a new business channel as the region becomes more technologically networked and Internet enabled. The company’s strong commitment to the agency channel and its establishment of regional headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain and branch operations region-wide are a perfect match for a rewarding future together,” added Mr. Khamseen.

“The renewal of this agreement with Kanoo Travel and other similar partnerships demonstrates our commitment to working with the top names in the region’s travel industry and reaffirms a growing demand for Sabre solutions,” said Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre Travel Network Middle East’s chief executive officer. “In addition to serving our regional customers from our Middle East headquarters, our parent company, Sabre Holdings, will continue to use its strong presence in every channel of travel marketing, sales and distribution to negotiate with suppliers for the best rates and bookable content for our travel agency partners, such as Kanoo Travel.  This strength will ensure that we remain the most efficient global marketplace for the buying and selling of travel.”
