Oceana Cuises, Amadeus link up

Oceania Cruises is available to European travel agents through Amadeus’ automated cruise booking tool, Amadeus Cruise. The luxury cruiseline provides services to travel agencies in Europe including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Agents in the US, Canada and the UK have already been taking advantage of Amadeus’ industry leading technology to book Oceania Cruises.

“With our incorporation into Amadeus’ industry-leading cruise booking tool, travel agents in Europe will have all the selling and booking tools in place from which to sell Oceania Cruises along with shore excursion packages and pre- and post-cruise stays,” stated Frank Del Rio, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises. “Thanks to Amadeus’ cutting-edge technology and their global presence, travel agents in Europe today have easy access to Oceania Cruises at their fingertips.”

Amadeus Cruise is the most widely used automated cruise booking tool in the industry, with more than 40,000 terminals in 80 countries worldwide. It allows any travel agency to sell cruises right from their desktop using the Internet, regardless of their location or GDS affiliation.  The stand-alone version of Amadeus Cruise is also ideal for cruise-only and in-house agencies, providing them with the specialized booking capabilities they need for their business segment.

“We are pleased to extend our partnership with Oceania Cruises across the world - We will help bring them and their travel partners continued success in Europe by providing access to live availability and pricing, optimising the way to reach travel agents, thus increasing sales and revenues,” said Albert Pozo, Amadeus, Managing Director, Travel Services and Leisure.  “Amadeus’ leadership and continued technology investment will bring significant efficiencies in time and productivity for travel professionals, in addition to the improvements in the service they will be able to offer their clients when booking Oceania Cruises.”
