Delta’s ski schedule takes in 11 destinations

Delta Air Lines this winter will offer customers more choices for ski vacations than ever before with new and expanded service to and from 11 exciting ski destinations throughout the western United States and Canada. Delta’s newest ski destination of Telluride Colo. will be served daily between Montrose/Telluride and Salt Lake City, and on Saturdays between Montrose/Telluride and Delta’s largest hub in Atlanta.

Additionally, Delta will add daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Steamboat Springs, Colo. Delta will also expand service between Salt Lake City and Aspen, Colo., and between Atlanta and Bozeman, Mont., Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

“Delta has always offered our ski aficionados access to several popular ski destinations and this ski season we’ll be offering more than ever before,” said Bob Cortelyou, Delta’s vice president of network planning. “Because the ski destinations are accessible from all three of our major hubs—including Salt Lake City which is a ski destination in itself—Delta customers worldwide can reach any of these fantastic ski destinations with just one stop.

“The new service to Montrose/Telluride provides customers with Delta’s first access to this premier ski area, home to some of the most challenging and scenic skiing in the U.S.,” said Cortelyou. “The addition of Montrose/Telluride to our ski destination portfolio solidifies Delta’s place as a leading carrier for skiing enthusiasts throughout the world.”

Delta’s new service to Montrose/Telluride from Salt Lake City will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest using quiet and comfortable Bombardier regional jets. Saturday service from Atlanta will operate with an MD-88 aircraft. This new service complements the return of seasonal service between Cincinnati and Jackson Hole and Vail, Colo.; and between Atlanta and Vail and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Year-round service already operates between Salt Lake City and Aspen, Bozeman, Durango, Colo., Calgary, Jackson Hole, Reno/Lake Tahoe and Vancouver, and between Atlanta and Reno/Lake Tahoe.
