JAL resumes Indonesia services

During July 2006, Japan Airlines will resume normal direct daily services between Japan and Indonesia, due to a recovery in the number of passengers traveling on the airline between the two countries.  JAL will reinstate its direct daily flights between Tokyo (Narita) - Denpasar (Bali), and direct daily flights between Tokyo (Narita) - Jakarta on July 1, 2006. From July 13, 2006 the airline will also resume daily service flights between Osaka (Kansai) - Denpasar.    JAL temporarily reduced flight frequency and changed routings on its Japan-Indonesia flights at the end of October 2005, following a significant decrease in passenger demand from Japan resulting from the terrorist bombing on Bali Island on October 1, 2005.    At that time, JAL consolidated its direct daily service between Tokyo - Jakarta, and direct daily service between Tokyo - Denpasar into one daily flight routed Narita-Jakarta-Denpasar- Jakarta- Narita. At that time, JAL also reduced Osaka-Denpasar flights from seven to three per week.
