Extreme makeover for Regent Beverly Wilshire

The Regent Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, has set a new standard for luxury hotels, spending 30 million dollars on an extreme hotel makeover. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, this hotel is located at one of the world’s most famous intersections—Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard.

With the addition of Cut by Wolfgang Puck, contemporary lounge Sidebar, a new Spa and Pool Bar, room renovations and The Blvd, the hotel is pioneering a new trend in rejuvenating Grande Dame hotels. Here’s what is taking this hotel to the next level:

On June 1, The Regent Beverly Wilshire will unveil Wolfgang Puck’s anticipated first contemporary steakhouse, Cut, and adjoining lounge, Sidebar. In the space formerly know as the Dining Room, renowned architect Richard Meier (of Getty Museum and Jean George’s restaurant 66 fame) has designed a magnificently modern and chic setting (right down to the utensils) for a sexy night on the town. Cut’s menu is anything but traditional, while Sidebar offers classic cocktails with an innovative twist.

Spa/Pool:

Also on June 1, The Regent Beverly Wilshire will open a spectacular 8,000 square foot, nine treatment room Spa providing a harmonious blend of elegance, indulgence and relaxation. Amenities include Aromatherapy Crystal Steam Rooms, Experience Showers, Ice Fountains and a separate male/female Tranquility Lounge to rest and re-hydrate. Additionally, the newly designed pool area will be equipped with a new Pool Bar and luxurious cabanas that can be rented at a daily rate.

Guest Rooms:

The guest rooms are in the midst of a face-lift and will have 42” plasma TVs, high-speed and wireless Internet and iHome-based alarm clocks. Decor in the Wilshire Wing will be classic contemporary with either blue and amber or green and amber themes. Pops of color pillows in seating areas along with butter-leather headboards are also featured.

The Blvd:

Just surpassing its first year since opening, The Blvd provides a see and be seen atmosphere. The newly redesigned modern, elegant and sophisticated space features a world-class restaurant, distinctive bar and inviting new outdoor patio overlooking Rodeo Drive. Inspired by his travels around the world, Executive Chef Conny Andersson brings a global outlook to his cuisine. Features include an 18-foot illuminated onyx bar and a 12-foot backlit wine display with over 1,000 bottles of wine.
