Southampton welcomes bmi regional

This winter, Southampton Airport will welcome bmi regional to the region.bmi regional is part of the bmi group and a subsidiary of bmi and it will launch its first ever services from the
airport with a direct service to Amsterdam, beginning 29 October 2006. 

Operated by bmi regional’s all jet fleet of Embraer aircraft, the new
service will depart for Amsterdam four times daily Monday to Friday,
once on Saturday and twice on Sundays with a flight schedule
conveniently timed to meet the needs of both business and leisure
passengers.

bmi chief executive officer, Nigel Turner commented:

stronger network of national and international routes from key UK
regional airports and I’m delighted that bmi regional is able to bring
its award winning service to Southampton with this, our first ever route
from the region.

also an important continental gateway where passengers can be assured of
convenient onward travel connection with our Star Alliance partners.
