Qantas Airways Ltd. is planning to cut 20 percent of its corporate staff as the Australian airline looks to offset rising fuel costs, the Australian Financial Review newspaper reported on Wednesday. Citing sources inside the company, the newspaper said several hundred jobs might be cut, mostly at the company’s head office in Sydney, to save tens of millions of dollars.

Qantas executives declined to comment on the head office job cuts, the newspaper said.
