Boom strikes deal with Hays

Boom has signed a deal to provide air fares to ABTA’s largest independently owned travel agent Hays Travel. It took just three weeks from signing the contracts for over 190 branches and 150 homeworkers to get full access to Boom fares. This was achieved using Boom’s unique technology which is provided free of charge either as a stand alone solution or to integrate with other travel technology providers.

Boom General Manager, Claire Trevis said “We are thrilled to have completed the deal with Hays Travel so soon after launch.  We are targeting medium and large ATOL holders who want to remove costs from their business by using the Boom fulfilment service.  The contract with Hays is a fantastic start to the new business.”

Head of Technology for Hays Travel, Neil Green said “We were impressed with Boom technology and its business model clearly demonstrated it could add value to our business.  Hays Travel is delighted to be up and running with the Boom team so quickly.”

Hays Travel has 32 branches and operates three call centres in the north east as well as 150 homeworkers.  In addition, more than 120 independent travel retailers operate under the company’s licences and bonds.  These agents form the Independence Group, a consortia which benefits from Hays Travel’s buying power, technology and back office expertise.
