The hotel occupancy rate in Athens rose in March 2006 against the same month ayear earlier, the Union of Attica Hoteliers said on Monday.Occupancy at five-star hotels was 49.6%, up 1.8%; at four-star units 51.5%, up3.0%; three-star hotels, 57.1%, up 5.3%; and two-star facilities 42.9%, up3.4%, the union said in a monthly report.

In January-March, the occupancy rate was about 5% higher than the same periodof 2005, according to the report.
