Asiana Airlines said it has agreed with Qatar Airways to share flights to the Middle Eastern city of Doha beginning this week. Through a code-sharing accord, Asiana will provide three weekly flights from Seoul to Doha, the capital city of Qatar, starting from Tuesday, it said.

Under code-sharing agreements, airlines can sell tickets on each other’s flights, allowing carriers to boost revenue by effectively enlarging their flights and destination networks.

Asiana said it now has code-sharing agreements with 14 airlines including Japan’s All Nippon Airways Co.
