ATA Airlines as part of its enhanced West Coast and Hawaii flying program launches nonstop service from Ontario to Honolulu starting on April 28. Additional easy, connecting flights to Maui and Hilo are also available from Ontario International Airport through Oakland as part of ATA’s codeshare agreement with Southwest Airlines.
The comfortable Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a Business Seating section will be used on the Honolulu nonstop flights.
Making Hawaii Even More Convenient and Affordable for the Southern California Market
“ATA is excited about our entry into Ontario because it expands our codeshare with Southwest Airlines and makes new opportunities available for affordable Hawaii travel to thousands of customers nationwide,” said ATA Senior Vice President - Scheduled Service Josef Loew. “What is even more exciting is as the only airline providing nonstop service between Honolulu and Ontario, ATA is leading the way in also making it more convenient for Inland Empire region travelers to reach the Hawaiian Islands.”
“The City of Ontario welcomes ATA as the newest addition to LA-Ontario International Airport,” said Mayor Paul S. Leon, City of Ontario. “The continued increase of daily flights and new airlines at ONT, as well as the construction and expansion of the new onsite facilities, is helping put ONT on track to become Southern California’s second major international gateway.”
Director of Air Service Marketing for the Los Angeles World Airports Mark Thorpe expressed excitement at the launch of ATA’s new service. “This latest addition of new nonstop and one-stop ATA service to Hawaiian destinations at LA/Ontario not only increases the number of travel options available to the Southern California-Hawaii market,” said Thorpe, “but it also once again highlights the strong and growing demand for air travel within the rapidly expanding Inland Empire region and throughout the whole of Southern California.”
