Boom, based on one of Holland’s leading consolidators, launches in the UK this week with 67 airline deals already secured. As part of the ATP International Group, Boom will capitalise on the company’s significant buying power across Europe as well as the innovative use of technology the company is known for.
As well as being a traditional consolidator focusing on long haul destinations, Boom will provide a fulfilment service to medium and large ATOL holders looking to remove some cost from their business. This is the business model that has worked very successfully in Holland for the last four years, where Boom works with some of the largest travel businesses in Europe.
The business will be headed up by General Manager Claire Trevis, who joins from technology specialist TelMe Farebase, prior to which she was Aviation Director of First Choice Plc and brings many years of experience in the aviation industry to her role in the new company.
“This is going to be a great service for the trade,” said Claire. “The fact that we are able to launch Boom with 67 airlines on board from day one is a fantastic start. As well as providing an online booking facility, Boom has a team of very experienced and knowledgeable travel professionals ready to support agents if required.”
Graham Ramsey, Chairman of Boom and ATP International said “We have successfully traded Boom in Holland for several years and the time is now ripe to launch to the travel trade in the UK. I am delighted to have secured a strong management team led by Claire to add to our core strengths of buying power and technology and I am confident that Boom will be well received by agents.”
To celebrate the launch of Boom in the UK, all travel consultants who register on the ‘BoomFare’ site by the end of May will automatically qualify for entry into a prize draw to win a video iPod. Agents can get access to all of the deals by visiting www.boomfare.com or by calling 0870 460 3719.
