Choice offering golf incentive

Visitors who log onto
choicehotels.com/lpga or choicesportstravel.com this year, may
enter to win a trip for
two to the LPGA’s 2006 ADT Championship, courtesy of Choice Hotels and the LPGA.The prize package includes roundtrip airfare, 5 days/4 nights hotel
accommodations at a Choice hotel, tickets to the event, $1,000 spending
money, two private golf lessons from an LPGA Teaching and Club Professional
member and a set of PING‰ golf clubs.

“Last year’s contest, which awarded the winner a trip to the Solheim Cup,
was hugely successful,” said Wayne Wielgus, executive vice president and
chief marketing officer for Choice Hotels.  “We’re excited to continue as an
Official Hotel Partner of the LPGA and we’re excited that this year we can
offer travelers and golf fans the opportunity to experience the ADT
Championship, which takes place at one of the country’s most prestigious
courses.”

The ADT Championship this year will be from November 16-19 at the Trump
International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida and will be the
culmination of the first ever season-long playoff system in golf. The winner
will take home the largest first place check in the history of women’s golf.
The top 32 players on the LPGA Tour will qualify for the ADT Championship by
accumulating ADT Playoff points during each half of the season or by winning
an automatic entry and a chance at the $1,000,000 first place prize. Last
year, Annika Sorenstam successfully defended her ADT Championship title,
making her the tournament’s first back-to-back winner.

“We are thrilled to team up with Choice Hotels in offering fans and Choice
travelers the opportunity to attend the ADT Championship, an event which we
expect to sell out early in the season,” said LPGA’s Eric Albrecht, Senior
Director of Marketing. “Choice Hotels has been a great partner for LPGA, and
we are pleased that this year we can once again offer a fan the chance to
experience first-hand the excitement of the season-ending event on the LPGA
Tour.”

In June 2004, Choice Hotels signed a three-year partnership with the LPGA,
making the company the Official Hotel Partner of the LPGA. The three-year
deal includes advertising during the LPGA telecasts on ESPN, ESPN2 and The
Golf Channel; prominent display of Choice’s brands on the LPGA website with
lists highlighting specific hotels located near a particular event; an
on-site presence at LPGA tournaments and the rights to the LPGA-licensed
marks. In addition, Choice Hotels provides the LPGA and its participants
with a centralized telephone number for hotel reservations and discounted
room rates at more than 3,500 properties in the United States and Canada.

“Sports fans represent a huge and loyal market for our hotels,” Wielgus
said. “We are proud to include the prestigious LPGA as one of our more than
60 sports organization partnerships. The partnership is a great opportunity
to increase consumer awareness of our brands with golfers and leisure
travelers, and allows us to provide hotel discounts to LPGA participants.”
