SkyTeam, the global airline alliance has launched a new product aimed at organizers and attendees of global meetings, conferences and events. The product—SkyTeam Global Meetings—is designed to streamline the process of arranging travel for large-scale international meetings—from registering the event to simplified booking for event attendees.

With SkyTeam Global Meetings, event organizers are able to coordinate all air travel needs across ten member airlines via one single point of contact, while event attendees can receive attractive or discounted airfares and still accrue frequent flyer miles on all SkyTeam carriers.

SkyTeam Global Meetings allows event organizers to complete an easy online application to select SkyTeam as their event’s official alliance network.

Once their registration is complete,(a) event organizers will be able to offer attractive or discounted fares to event attendees traveling on participating airlines. Event organizers will be paired with a single airline to act as the point of contact for all SkyTeam carriers. Event organizers may also take part in a special incentive program(b) and earn travel certificates, based on the number of attendees carried by each participating member of the SkyTeam alliance.
