Plans are already underway for the 2006 Sandals to Sandals 10k Race, which is to take place in St Lucia on Sunday 19 November.
And this year Sandals is increasing the total prize money by 50 per cent, to 15,000 EC dollars.

The race, which will start at the Sandals Halcyon and finish 10 kilometres further north at the Sandals Grande, is expected to attract hundreds of runners from all over the Caribbean, including scores of Sandals management and team members.

The event, sponsored by Sandals and organised by the St Lucia Athletics Association, and is to be promoted regionally and internationally as well as within St Lucia.

Ignacio Perez, Sandals Resorts International’s Regional Director for the Eastern Caribbean, says: “The first Sandals to Sandals 10k, in November 2005, was an overwhelming success, and we look forward to an even bigger and better event this year. With just over six months to go before the 2006 race, it’s time to start practising!”
