Cyclone disrupts Qantas service at Darwin

The Qantas Group said today its flights into and out of Darwin
would be disrupted this evening and tomorrow as a result of Cyclone

Passengers booked to travel on Qantas, QantasLink or Australian Airlines
services to and from Darwin should contact Qantas on 13 13 13 to make
alternative arrangements.

Passengers holding a valid ticket for travel on or before 25 April 2006
may - for no additional charge - defer travel to/from Darwin or bypass
Darwin as a stopover point.


The last Qantas Group flight out of Darwin this evening will depart for
Cairns at 9.30pm (local time) with the flight number QF 8801.



As a result of the weather conditions expected this evening, the
following four Qantas flights have been cancelled.


- QF846 7.40pm Sydney/Darwin - QF828 8.45pm Brisbane/Darwin - QF829
1.30am (25 April) Darwin/Sydney - QF827 1.55am (25 April)


All day-time operations scheduled to and from Darwin tomorrow have also
been cancelled.


Qantas will continue to monitor the situation and advise any additional
changes to its schedule as further information becomes available.
