Nok Air adds two new routes

Low cost Thai airline, Nok Air, is to launch two new route destinations - Mae Hong Son and Loei.


Patee Sarasin, Chief Executive Officer of Nok Air, said “We are very excited about adding Mae Hong Son and Loei as our two new destinations, along with our 6 existing routes. Mae Hong Son with its spectacular scenery, beautiful rivers, and hill tribe communities, has become one of the fastest-developing tourist destinations in Thailand.”


Nok Air will operate flights from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son from 1 May 2006 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  On Friday and Sunday the flights will be twice daily.


For Bangkok/ Loei/ Bangkok, Nok Air will operate twice weekly flights starting from 5 May 2006, every Friday and Sunday.


Additionally, Nok Air will also operate flights to Loei from Udon Thani, the hub of transport and communications for the upper northeast of Thailand. Starting from 5 May 2006, Nok Air will operate Udon Thani - Loei flight, twice weekly, every Friday and Sunday.

Reservations on the new destinations can be made from April 22, 2006.


The new destinations will utilize Nok Air’s latest 66-seats ATR aircraft with its dynamic style and colors that reflect Nok Air’s innovative approach.  As with other Nok Air planes and cockpit crews, these are leased from Thai Airways International, and strictly follow all the international safety procedures and maintenance protocols that are required of an international airline. Nok Air’s cabin crew has been trained to the highest measure with THAI providing the safety training, further ensuring the high levels of safety standards.
