Emirates Tours UK, which specialises in offering tailor-made luxury holidays to 15 exotic destinations worldwide is appointing Stuart Ellis as its new General Manager.
Ellis (35) joins Emirates Tours, a subsidiary of award-winning airline Emirates, from Gulliver’s Travel Associates, where he held the position of Group Sales & Operations Manager (European Markets) for two years and was responsible for leading his department to major revenue growth in 2005.
Ellis hopes to continue his success at Emirates Tours, where he will be responsible for maintaining its impressive growth and building on its diverse product, which currently offers luxury holiday packages to destinations including Dubai, Oman, the Indian Ocean, India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Previously, Ellis held management roles at Thomson Holidays (TUI UK), moving from Customer Service Manager to Senior Quality Assurance Manager in 2001. Here he led project teams on commercial and service improvements covering a variety of Thomson products and brands.
Stuart started his career in travel when he joined the Airtours Group in 1993, firstly based overseas in Paris and then with the Lakes & Mountains product. In addition, he ran the company’s high-profile and successful Winter City-trip programmes from Birmingham and East Midlands airports.
