Galileo Emirates wins distribution award

Galileo Emirates - the UAE’s distribution company for Galileo - won the ‘Best Worldwide Galileo Distributor Award’ at the recent Galileo MasterBlast awards in Rome. Galileo Emirates was presented with the International Markets award by Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), of which Galileo International is a part, at its annual sales conference in March.

Naz Nizari, Senior Vice President of Galileo Emirates, who collected the award said:

“We are delighted to receive this award which is testament to the hard work and commitment of our team. As an innovator in this field we aim to keep ahead of the competition and abreast of technology by constantly updating our products to help our agency partners deliver top-quality customer service.”

Galileo Emirates received this award for its performance throughout the year, and was recognised for its success in securing exclusive subscriber contracts with 75 per cent of the travel agencies in Dubai and the northern emirates.

In addition to this, the company also achieved 25 per cent market growth in Qatar and 11 per cent growth in Oman. Galileo Emirates was also one of the first NDCs to launch Galileo Leisure - a retail booking system that allows travel agents to fully integrate all air and leisure bookings into a single Galileo booking file - and is renowned for its consistent commitment to customer service.

The awards event focused on the TDS vision which gave delegates a comprehensive understanding of the TDS International Markets’ strategy, goals and targets. The highlight of the conference was the Awards Dinner where high performers were recognised.

Dubai-based Galileo Emirates, an associate company of the Emirates Group, is the National Distribution Company for UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Representatives from more than 120 countries attended the conference which included Galileo’s National Distribution Companies, Sales & Marketing Offices and other Cendant TDS divisions.
