China South sells half million e-tickets a month

China Southern has recorded more than $1.2 billion in web sales since 2000; And now the airline is selling more than 500,000 e-tickets each month

In January 2006, China Southern sold approximately 500,000 e-tickets, generating more than $50 Million USD.

In February 2006, China Southern sold approximately 400,000 tickets, generating more than $31 Million USD.


And in March 2006, China Southern sold more than 600,000 tickets, generating more than $41 Million USD.


China Southern is the first airline in China to sell an Internet e-ticket in 2000 ... and its commitment to e-ticket sales six years ago is paying major dividends to the nation’s largest carrier.

From its launch in 2000 to current, China Southern has sold more than 16 Million e-tickets, accounting for more than $1.2 Billion in on-line sales.


China Southern Airlines is currently selling an average of 570,000 airline tickets each month to the Chinese marketplace via its Chinese web site at www.cs-air.com .


China Southern calculates that at least 20% of its total sales come from Internet sales.
