Holiday Inn launches UK interactive

Holiday Inn and ePrize today announce the launch of the hotelier’s new interactive promotion in the U.K., “The Holiday Inn Room with a View,” allowing Britons who love to travel the chance to win one of five trips to the world’s most exciting cities.

The Holiday Inn promotion started 11 April 2006 and ends 8 May 2006 on a dedicated Web site, . It was created by ePrize, the largest international interactive promotions agency.

Residents of the U.K. who are 18 or older are invited to visit the site, where they will be able to explore a virtual Holiday Inn hotel room. There, promotion players will discover special features available at Holiday Inn accommodations, including five different pillow types and blackout lined curtains to promote a sounder sleep. The player begins by clicking on the window curtains to enter the spin-to-win game, and if it matches a cityscape, the player wins one of five instant-win trips and is eligible for the grand-prize drawing. Players are entered into the grand-prize drawing regardless of whether or not they match a cityscape.

The grand prize is a trip for the winner and guest of their choice to San Francisco, Orlando, New York City or Miami, including roundtrip airfare for two, four days and three nights at a Holiday Inn in the destination city with breakfast and GBP100 spending money.

Other prizes include weekend trips for two to cities including Paris, Prague, Brussels, London and Berlin. In addition to the trips, the promotion will give away 200 scanner radios, five three-piece sets of Samsonite luggage and ten Holiday Inn robes.

Promotion players may enter the instant-win game once per day, unless referring friends, which makes them eligible to play as often as they like. With each visit they will be asked two new questions that will enable Holiday Inn to communicate with visitors more effectively. Site visitors also can choose to receive Holiday Inn’s Go Discover brochure with information about Holiday Inns around the world.

Along with allowing players to opt-in to receive Holiday Inn’s Go Discover brochure, Holiday Inn will be able to capture user e-mail addresses and profile points from this campaign to continue communicating in the future.
