City Airport launches PrivateJet
London City Airport will extend its corporate aviation offer with the launch of PrivateJet.The new company will build on the success of the London City Airport Jet Centre, which opened in 2002. PrivateJet provides a world-wide executive jet charter brokering service.
This new addition to the London City Airport stable will source the correct private aircraft for any given client itinerary. PrivateJet will attend to every detail from initial quotation through to the VIP catering that may be required on board. In short, every detail is looked after to ensure that travel is effective, flexible and enjoyable wherever it may be in the world.
Richard Gooding, Managing Director of London City Airport commented on how the Jet Centre has exceeded expectations. “In 2005 the London City Airport Jet Centre handled almost 10,000 movements, this level of success has created an opportunity to diversify and organically grow the business within the general aviation sector. “Since the launch of the Jet Centre we have frequently been asked to provide private aircraft for both leisure and corporate users. The demand for private jet hire is now growing significantly, so much so, that we have decided to dedicate a specialist team.
“Our experience and positioning within the business aviation sector means we are able to offer our PrivateJet service worldwide, delivering the ability to meet even the most complex schedules whilst providing ease and simplicity to the client.”
New technology private aircraft with ever increasing fuel efficiency means that chartering a private aircraft is becoming very cost effective, and in many cases will compete with scheduled air travel. However the benefits of private air travel are unsurpassed in terms of flexibility and service standards and as cost efficiency improves we can expect to see more and more businesses and individuals buying into the benefits delivered through hiring your own aircraft.
John Brutnell, Commercial Manager for London City Airport PrivateJet is confident that the Airport brand together with the Airport’s reputation in the general aviation sector provides a platform to launch PrivateJet into an established market with a lead against its competitors: “Despite being a new brand PrivateJet is supported by the Airport and Jet Centre. This will give the consumer confidence as they are dealing with a well respected company which they can trust.”
