China Eastern posts losses for 2005

China Eastern Airlines said it swung to a loss last year due to a surge in prices of aviation fuel as well as higher take-off and landing fees. Based on international accounting standards, the Shanghai-based company posted a net loss of 467.31 million yuan last year against a net profit of 320.69 million in 2004.
