Tourism fair kicks off in Bucharest

Bucharest International Fair Romexpo Exhibition Centre will be the venue to the 15th International Tourism Fair (TNT) over 6-9 April . A benchmark event in the tourism market, a mix of the internal and international supply of tourist services, TNT covers an important thematic structure as follows: Official and Regional Participations; Travel Agencies and Tour Operators; Tourism Authorities and Professional Associations; Congress and Business Tourism Organisers; Tourist Resorts and Balneal Resorts; Hotels and Hotel Companies; Boarding Houses, Chalets, Camping Sites; Tourism Catering Services; Tourism Transport Services; Financial and Insurance Services; IT in Tourism, Reservation Systems; Education, Training in Tourism; Tourism Publishers and Publications; Tourism Promotion and Marketing; etc

This edition will be attended by over 310 companies from 22 countries: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia and Montenegro, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.

Participation of tourism companies has increased by 10 percent on the previous edition, the number of participant countries has almost doubled, and the total show are has increased by some 20 percent. An increase has also been registered, this edition as well, with the number of representatives of hotels, boarding houses and other accommodation facilities.

This edition of the International Tourism Fair gives great heed to the presentation of Romania’s tourist potential. Compared with the standing presence of the regional tourism promotion associations, tourist information centres, rural tourism associations, and other institutions in the field, at this edition, at the initiative of the National Tourism Authority (ANT), tourist Romania will be presented unitarily within representative stands. These stands will put on show the tourist potential of the most representative Rumanian tourist regions.

On the occasion of the National Tourism fair staged at Romexpo by the National Tourism Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of foreign Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce of Industry of Romania, and the National Association of Travel Agencies in Romania, under the aegis of the Romanian chairmanship of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation (OCEMN) organizes the first specialised show - Tourism in the Black Sea.

Since the OCEMN set-u, the Tourism in the Black Sea Zone Show is the first event dedicated to promoting tourism in the region; here are its priority objectives for the mandate of the Romanian chairmanship of the organization: expansion and modernization of the tourist infrastructure, creation in the Black Sea zone of a regional market for tourism and investment in the field; encouraging the initiatives for the private tourism sector promotion.

Participating are tourism national authorities and professional associations from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey and Ukraine. ROMPRES
