Mortimore to manage Reed Travel Exhibitions

Richard Mortimore, who has over 20 years working with some of the world’s
major airlines, has been appointed Managing Director of Reed Travel Exhibitions.For the past seven years, Mortimore has been International Director of
Sales, Marketing and Reservations for US Airways. Previously he held
managerial posts with United Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Virgin
Atlantic and Air Europe.

RTE is currently responsible for 15 exhibitions worldwide, covering travel,
tourism, incentive, meetings and niche sectors such as luxury, golf and city
breaks. Its flagship event is World Travel Market held in London in


Mortimore, aged 46, will manage the day-to-day running of the business with
effect from 1 May.

Among his roles, Mortimore was Area Commercial Controller, UK & Ireland at
Scandinavian Airlines System; General Manager, Italy and European Controller
and Business Manager at United Airlines; Route Manager in Japan and Manager
Revenue Accounting at Virgin Atlantic Airlines and Scheduled Services
Finance Manager at Air Europe.
