Editor returns to US Business Traveller

Business Traveler’s U.S. edition has announced the re-hiring of Eva Leonard as editor in chief. Leonard served as editor in chief of Business Traveler from July 2000 to November 2004, and as editor at large from July to December 2005.

She brings to BT and its new publisher Varquin Enterprises, Inc. more than 20 years experience in magazine publishing, including key positions in both editorial and advertising.

“I’m excited at the prospect of re-joining Business Traveler as its global expansion takes off. We’re eager to make the most of its unparalleled international resources for the frequent business traveler based in the U.S.,” Leonard said. “With nine international editions, Business Traveler is the irreplaceable voice of, and resource for, this highly desirable and difficult-to-reach market. BT offers a wealth of experience and expertise readers just won’t find anywhere else.”

Business Traveler has also tapped veteran travel journalist Susan McKee as editor at large. McKee has worked in journalism since 1969 as a reporter and features writer. Since 1983 she has freelanced for numerous publications including The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times and Travel Savvy.

“We’ve assembled a top-notch team of high-energy pros like Susan to take the U.S. edition of Business Traveler to new heights,” said Leonard. “This year Business Traveler celebrates the 30th anniversary of its first issue published in the UK, but as global markets play an increasingly pivotal role in the economy, its relevance for the U.S.-based business traveler has never been greater.”
