Mozart welcomes Austrian fliers

The Mozart Memorial Year 2006 is another opportunity for Austrian Airlines to promote the carrier. A life-size Mozart image of the Reber Confectionery has been applied on the aircraft doors of all 19 Airbus midrange aircraft (Airbus A319, A320 and A321), which gives passengers a welcome during boarding.

Austrian Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Josef E. Burger commenting on this promotion: “In 2006 Austria is particularly in the spotlight. Our Austrian Airbus fleet is serving about 50 destinations in Western and Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. Considering that, we are also promoting Austria’s unique image in many countries. With the traditional company Reber we have been able to establish a co-operation, which will attract much attention and sweetens the flight for passengers with the famous «Mozart-Kugeln«.”

The company Reber has been family owned for almost 140 years and has been especially famous for high-quality sweet delicacies, most of all the “Genuine Reber Mozart Kugeln”. Business Class passengers can now enjoy these specialities. Exquisitely filled with pistachio marzipan made out of fresh green pistachios, almonds and hazelnut nougat enrobed with delicious milk chocolate and plain chocolate, the “Mozart Kugeln” make the stay on board even more sweet.

In 2006 all Austrian longhaul aircraft also feature the Mozart Memorial Year logo. Austrian Airlines has moreover created a distinct visual symbol with its inspiring and exceptional remodelling of the “Vienna Philharmonic Airbus” A340.
