OneLink Corporation’s travel reservations and payment service has been officially endorsed by the American Society of Travel Agents. ASTA, the world’s largest and most influential travel trade association with over 20,000 members in 140 countries, will work with OneLink through its CCRA industry marketing service to promote OneLink’s core service to the ASTA membership.
Effective immediately, OneLink’s landmark service is available to ASTA members through OneLink’s online portal, CCRAonelink.com. The portal enables travel agency professionals to make reservations at over 80,000 unique hotel properties worldwide. Because payment for portal-based reservations is handled upfront, users receive commissions at the time of booking—a significant business advantage for agencies.
“The launch of the new portal is welcome news to ASTA and the agent community,” said Kathryn W. Sudeikis, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. “Agents now have more control over the commissions they receive through hotel bookings. This is an excellent step toward empowering agents and guaranteeing they receive their earned commissions.”
Now in its 75th year, ASTA is the leading advocate for travel agents, the travel industry and the traveling public. The association exists to enhance the professionalism and profitability of its members through education and training, government and industry involvement, and by identifying the needs of travelers. ASTA travel agency members represent a broad cross-section of the travel agency industry, serving both business and leisure travelers through a comprehensive range of services.
“ASTA has been a valued advocate of OneLink’s CCRA industry marketing service for nearly five years. We’re very pleased about this expanded relationship and exclusive endorsement for our new CCRAonelink service,” said Bill Guerin, chairman and CEO of OneLink. “We believe our upfront booking/settlement concept will be of great value to ASTA members, not only for improving the quality of service for their customers, but also for strengthening their cash flow and profits.”
ASTA, through its AMSI (ASTA Marketing Services, Inc.) subsidiary, will cooperate with OneLink in promoting the CCRAonelink.com portal to the ASTA membership. AMSI and OneLink are also encouraging ASTA members to participate in one of a series of Internet-based seminars on using the CCRAonelink portal.
