DLF Group is holding talks with Hilton International as India’s largest real estate developer explores entering the hospitality sector, the Business Standard newspaper reported Tuesday. The discussions are centered around setting up business hotels at various locations in India, the paper reported, citing unnamed sources close to the talks.
“We are open to exploring new ventures in the area of specialty projects, including the hospitality sector. As of now, there is nothing in the pipeline to confirm or discuss,” a DLF spokesperson said, according to the report.
Last month, DLF acquired a 1.24 acre hotel site for INR970 million ($21.75 million) in northern India’s Rohini district from the Delhi Development Authority, the paper reported.
