CSA lands new Airbus A320

The first new CSA Airbus A320 200 has landed at Prague-Ruzyne Airport. This new airplane, with the registration OK-LEE, is the first of twelve aircraft that were selected at a tender for medium-haul aircraft in October 2004 and which Czech Airlines will acquire directly from the manufacturer in the 2006-2008 period.

CSA will use the new aircraft (with a 162-passenger capacity) to operate regular flights throughout the entire network, especially to further off destinations such as Jerevan or Ekaterinburg and to destinations located at higher altitudes.  The A320 will also be used on flights with a higher seat load factor.  The first passengers will fly on the aircraft from Prague to Paris on Sunday, April 2.

“The new aircraft will enhance the competitiveness of CSA on the market and will offer passengers more comfort, especially on flights to farther away destinations”, said Radom’r Lasák, CSA President and Chairperson, Board of Directors.
