Starwood is opening Bliss Los Angeles at the W Los Angeles - Westwood, its seventh Bliss spa worldwide. “West Coast spa enthusiasts who frequent New York and London have been anxiously awaiting a Bliss in Los Angeles. Since acquired by Starwood Hotels and Resorts in January 2004, Bliss has opened four spas, Bliss49 at the W New York, Bliss San Francisco at the W San Francisco, Bliss Chicago at the W Chicago - Lakeshore and the new Bliss Los Angeles at the W Los Angeles - Westwood.
Bliss Dallas will open in June 2006 at the new W Dallas - Victory Park. In addition, Bliss operates three freestanding spa locations, Bliss Soho and Bliss 57 in New York, and Bliss London in the United Kingdom.
Bliss introduced an exclusive line of in-room bath, body and skincare amenities at W Hotels nationwide in October 2004, and will launch international amenities at the W Maldives in June 2006.
Located on the second floor of the W Los Angeles- Westwood, the new Bliss Spa is the company’s long awaited Los Angeles outpost.
Bliss’ 7,000 square foot space features a retail beauty boutique and a high-tech manicure pedicure lounge. Each nail station is equipped with its own flat screen TV, DVD player and earphones, and a conveyor belt to transport sterilized nail tools.
The main spa facility houses ten treatment rooms, a women’s locker room and lounge, a men’s locker room and lounge both outfitted with saunas and aromatherapy infused steam showers Bliss Los Angeles will be offering poolside massages in addition to the current Bliss treatment menu of trademark facials, massages, body treatments, waxing and nail services.
