Amadeus is forming a partnership with ACE Insurance to offer online travel insurance products through travel agencies in Hong Kong.

The collaboration will make the ACE the first in Hong Kong to offer travel insurance products through Amadeus. According to industry estimates, the travel insurance industry in Hong Kong is estimated to grow at 10-15%.

For ACE Insurance, the solution will help reduce distribution and processing costs as well as offer enhanced services to customers, Mr Richard Wyber, General Manager Accident and Health for ACE Insurance Limited (Hong Kong) said: “We have worked hard to ensure we have a slew of travel insurance products that can provide both world-class financial protection and medical assistance should our customers require our help. We are very pleased to be working with Amadeus in a partnership that will ensure customers receive outstanding value and service.”

ACE Insurance will be introducing a new range of travel insurance products targeted at travelers to Asia Pacific, China and other global destinations, through selected travel agencies in Hong Kong. These products will be customized to ensure travelers enjoy their holidays with the confidence that they are well protected should the unexpected occur.

With this, we remain committed to providing travel agencies with solutions that will enable them to deliver greater value and service to their customers. Travel agents will now be able to deliver total packages comprising air, hotel and car and insurance products.” 

Amadeus currently processes close to 100,000 insurance bookings per year in the region.
