Eos Air expands distribution

Transatlantic premium airline, Eos is teaming with Amadeus, making the carrier’s complete inventory immediately available to Amadeus customers worldwide.

“Niche carriers like Eos have a growing following, but they need to define their presence in as many key travel distribution channels as possible as quickly as possible,” said Stephane Durand, Managing Director of Amadeus UK & Ireland. “Distribution via Amadeus gives Eos’s exclusive Stansted-to-JFK route instant market penetration on the broadest front.”

Purchase-N.Y.-based Eos joins nearly 500 airlines now distributed through Amadeus, among them many emerging and specialty airlines.

“Plugging into the world’s biggest travel distribution channel not only means Eos is plugged into the London and New York markets, but also to corporate travel offices worldwide,” said Christopher Frawley, Vice President of Distribution at Eos.  “Now corporations and travel management companies using the Amadeus system have access to all the Eos content, pricing, and reporting they require for employee travel.”

Eos launched its “Commerical Corporate Jet?” service between London and New York on October 18, 2005. With a fleet of Boeing 757s outfitted with just 48 “suites,” Eos is offering guests 40% more personal space than ordinary business class at prices that provide customers compelling value.

“If your audience is business travellers,” Durand said, “tapping into Amadeus here in the U.K. and especially in the U.S. and European markets ensures your customers of maximum availability.”

Durand noted that the Eos agreement also reinforces Amadeus’ commitment to the travel agency channel. “Amadeus strives to give our agency subscribers the widest possible array of revenue opportunities and travel content.  We are continually enhancing our distribution channel by adding new carriers like Eos.”
