Tourico Holidays has launched speed-enhancing, user-friendly performance upgrades to its Web site, making it one of the fastest mechanisms in the travel industry for its tour operators and wholesalers. The high-performance software multiplies the speed of the Tourico Holidays Web site by ten-fold, reducing search times from 10 seconds to up to 35 milliseconds.
Other upgrades make the site more user-friendly such as the ability to search hotels via an illustrated map or satellite image that provides a real-life, bird’s-eye view of properties and book accommodations directly from the map.
Using the “Hotel Map View,” viewers can scroll up and down or shift left and right to widen their search in a given geographical area.
The upgrades benefit the thousands of tour operators and wholesalers who book through Tourico Holidays, allowing them to:

—Search hotels by a specific location within a city

—View satellite maps of location with hotels and directly book accommodations from the map

In what amounts to a technological first, visitors can now check room availability and book accommodations directly from the map or satellite image. No other travel Web site offers this advanced map feature.
