Qantas said it would fly stranded OzJet passengers free of charge following OzJet’s announcement that it would cease operating from tonight. Qantas Executive General Manager John Borghetti said Qantas had assured OzJet of its support for affected passengers.

“We will carry free of charge up until 24 March all OzJet passengers who have already commenced their journey.

“For OzJet passengers who have yet to fly, Qantas will offer Economy Class seats at the same fare,” Mr Borghetti said.

Mr Borghetti said OzJet passengers wanting to take up either of the special offers would require proof of purchase of their OzJet tickets, and should contact Qantas by 17 March.
