Starwood debuts at Cocoa Beach
Starwood has opened the Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach, FL, a new property with a unique surfing theme. Cocoa Beach’s newest hotel is the perfect place for guests to enjoy uncomplicated comfort, surf, view rocket launches at the Kennedy Space Center, or spend a few days at the beach pre or post cruise with ships arriving and departing from the nearby Port Canaveral Cruise Terminals. This exciting complex is located only 300 feet from its namesake beach and features a host of exclusive amenities, such as a live shark tank, a surfing school and camp and an expansive surf shop. The hotel is owned and managed by The Cocoa Beach Surf Company and is licensed under a long-term franchise agreement as a Four Points by Sheraton.
“The addition of this exceptionally themed new build property in such a desired location provides Four Points by Sheraton guests the opportunity to experience another side of our brand experience,” said Hoyt Harper, II, senior vice president, Four Points by Sheraton. “This property provides both leisure and business travelers with the finest amenities in a comfortable atmosphere for exceptional value.”
The hotel’s distinct look immediately makes this property a downtown Cocoa Beach landmark. Draped in a palette of aqua, gold and light blue, the property’s entryway is complimented by two pair of surfboard sculptures that are 18 and 28 feet tall creating a dramatic sense of arrival. The 75-room hotel, including 26 suites and 9 luxury whirlpool suites, has a five-story atrium and features touches of the surfing lifestyle throughout. Rooms contain surfboard lamps, surf art depicting famous local surfers of the 60’s and 70’s, television channels dedicated to classic surf flicks and both present day and classic surfing events. One channel even lets guests peer into the atrium’s shark tank for a close look at these fearsome creatures of the deep.
