Accor has agreed terms with Development Securities for a four star ‘New Generation’ Novotel Paddington Central. The hotel will complement nearly 1 million sq ft of offices together with retail, restaurant and residential accommodation. Existing occupiers on the scheme include Visa, Kingfisher and Chiltern Mondial.
Paddington Central forms part of the wider Paddington regeneration area which is home to the world headquarters of Marks and Spencer Plc and Orange Telecom.
With 206 bedrooms, the new hotel will feature all the facilities that made Novotel the AA’s Hotel Group of the Year 2005-6. These will include Elements restaurant and bar, a conference suite for meetings of up to 150 and a leisure facility including a swimming pool and sauna.
Close to Paddington Station, the hotel will be ideal for business and leisure guests arriving in London on the Heathrow Express, only 15 minutes journey time and its location makes it readily accessible to the West End and City of London with an enviable public transport network. Jean-Jacques Dessors, Accor Hotels Managing Director Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, Etap and Formule 1 in the UK said ‘We couldn’t have picked a better location for our ninth Novotel in London.

A planning application has been submitted to Westminster City Council. Construction and fit-out is expected to take 18 months once permission has been granted.
