VEGAS.com partners with Monorail

VEGAS.com and the Las Vegas Monorail Company have signed an expansive partnership to promote ridership by offering free monorail tickets for customers of VEGAS.com, LasVegas.com and www.espanol.vegas.com. The partnership to promote the Las Vegas Monorail to business and leisure travelers will introduce more visitors to the benefit of getting around the city faster and without the expense of taxis. The partnership includes two new VEGAS.com-themed monorail trains which will also be outfitted with video screens featuring The Vegas Minute, a syndicated weekly TV news program with updates on the city.
VEGAS.com will also include the ticket sampling program in its multimillion-dollar online and offline marketing programs. The program will be promoted on both VEGAS.com and LasVegas.com, the world’s two largest destination travel sites, reaching more than 65 percent of online consumers researching Vegas travel information.
To celebrate the partnership and launch the free monorail ride program, a press conference led by Howard Lefkowitz, President of VEGAS.com, and Curtis L. Myles, III President and Chief Executive Officer of the Las Vegas Monorail, was held on March 2 in Las Vegas. According to Mr. Myles, “This partnership allows us to introduce the Las Vegas Monorail experience to people before they arrive in the city and the free ticket program is a great program for customer trial.” Howard Lefkowitz added, “The Las Vegas Monorail is an integral component of our city’s tourism infrastructure and we are pleased to bring our customers an experience they will enjoy. With our new high-tech themed cars and colorful outside graphics, customers will know to follow the VEGAS.com arrow to find an entertaining, informational and efficient way to get around the city.”
