Indonesia’s arrivals down in January

2nd Mar 2006

Overseas tourist arrivals to Indonesia have plunged 15 percent in January from 295,000 the previous year, as the fallout from last October’s suicide bombings on Bali persist.
The Central Bureau of Statistics gave no explanation for the decline but the resort island of Bali, Indonesia’s top tourist draw, is still recovering from the attacks.
