Singapore-based, Tiger Airways plans to start flying between Guangzhou and Singapore from April of this year. This follows a strong year-on-year growth for tourist arrivals in Singapore which reached 767,000 in January, marking a 15 percent increase.

Traffic was particularly strong from Indonesia, China, Australia and the United Kingdom, reflecting in part Singapore’s role as a transit hub on long-haul trips.
