China Southern Airlines is teaming up with the “eyefortransport China Summit 2006” and will be the official airline of the two-day April conference.
This year’s conference sponsorship marks the second consecutive year that China Southern has been the official airline of the conference, and the airline’s primary objective of the 2006 event “is to promote China Southern Airlines and enhance the China Southern Airlines brand through association with a high-profile industry event and with other leading industry companies,” said Mr. He Zong Kai, Vice President, China Southern Airlines.
Mr. He added, “This agreement is designed so that both parties make their best efforts to ensure a successful, high-quality conference, which will reflect well on both China Southern as the official airline sponsor and the eye for transport organization.”
Slated for April 18 and 19 at the Shanghai Hilton, attendees at the 2nd Annual China Summit will learn and discuss:
—Best practices for transport and logistics operations in China;
—Developing relationships with local or international companies;
—Advice to ensure a successful joint venture;
—Essential tips for working with national and local government;
—Current infrastructure for ocean, air, road and rail networks;
—Updates on logistics parks, airport and oceanport expansion;
—Trends in value-added services that can give a much-needed competitive edge; and
—New opportunities and challenges (strategic, geographic, technological) in the key Chinese marketplace.
For its official airline sponsorship, China Southern Airlines will be offering a 15% discount off marketed fares to fly with China Southern for all or part of their journey to the Shanghai conference in April.
More than 10 hours of networking time has been integrated into this two-day event to allow attendees all the time needed to meet with other executive-level attendees and speakers and collect details on the sponsors’ and exhibitors’ services in China.
