Celebrating Wheretostay.com‘s ten year anniversary, the couple who founded the site have spoken of their expanded vision for the website.
“We both share a passion for travel and wanted to develop a place on the Internet where others could conveniently find the best vacation options to meet their specific needs,” said Thom Dunaway, founder and president of WhereToStay.com. He continued, “Thus, WhereToStay.com was born and has since helped millions of travelers find the perfect place to stay on the their next journey.”
WhereToStay.com began as a Caribbean travel guide, with its mission to help travelers easily navigate through accurate yet concise information about hotels, resorts and villas of all sizes.
While celebrating 10 years offering “good sand advice” about places to stay in the Caribbean, WhereToStay.com now extends the opportunity for properties worldwide to become members and be featured on the website as a low-cost, yet highly-visible marketing option.
“It is our goal to serve a comprehensive research site featuring the most inclusive assortment of properties from around the world - not just the standard and most well-known accommodations listed by other websites,” noted Shawna Dunaway, co-founder of WhereToStay.com and director of site content. “Thom and I, along with our dedicated team, have put 10 years of hard work and dedication into making WhereToStay.com the only website travelers need to visit when researching travel options,” she added.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, WhereToStay.com has launched a six-month-long “Getaway Giveaway” promotion with the top prize of a six-day/five-night stay at the prestigious Turks & Caicos Club in the Turks & Caicos Islands, British West Indies - and air transportation on US Airways - for two people, valued at over $4,500, as the Grand Prize.
Centered around its “Know Before You Go” philosophy, WhereToStay.com offers in-depth information about thousands of places to stay as well as candid traveler reviews, useful advice and helpful tips from people who have experienced these destinations and accommodations first-hand.
