Hilton, Opodo ink distribution deal

Hilton International is joining forces with Opodo in a bid to expand its presence in Europe.
By joining forces with Opodo, Hilton has again expanded its international distribution network.  Today’s deal is of particular importance for Hilton’s European market as Opodo now operates in all of the top five European online travel markets, which represent around 85% of all the on-line travel sales in Western Europe.

Making the announcement Jurgen Fischer, President, Commercial Operations Group, Hilton International, said:  “This partnership is extremely important to Hilton International and our distribution strategy.  We have secured a number of great new partnerships recently and it is fantastic to welcome on board another big name in the travel industry.

“Opodo is very important to the European travel market and has increasingly become an online travel agency of choice for European travellers and product providers.  Hilton is delighted that this deal will enable wider access to its best deals and extensive inventory.”
