Travelocity, Hilton ink deal

Hilton Hotels Corporation is Travelocity‘s newest supplier of net rate hotel content. Travelocity’s hotel, TotalTrip(SM) and Last Minute Packages shopping engines will soon feature participating Hilton Family hotels.

“We are pleased to add Travelocity to our list of HHC-accredited merchant model distributors,” said Scott Normali, vice president - distribution, Hilton Hotels Corporation. “Participating hotels will be able to manage rates and availability to,, and in an efficient and dynamic manner with direct access to our proprietary reservation systems.”

“This agreement with Hilton Hotels Corporation further validates our consumer-friendly approach as well as our innovative technology platform,” said Ross Mantione, vice president of partner marketing for Travelocity. “More importantly, this is yet another opportunity for us to provide our mutual customers with richer content, wider availability, and more options by adding Hilton’s very popular brands.”

Through this relationship Hilton is able to take advantage of Travelocity’s fully-automated, two-way Central Reservations System connectivity. This also allows consumers booking Hilton Family properties on Travelocity to view current rates and availability for participating properties and for those properties to receive immediate delivery of reservations directly into their property management system.
