Czech Airlines has won the ‘Best Airline in Eastern Europe’ Award given out annually by the American Global Traveler magazine. The high level of passenger service on CSA flights was rated positively by the American travel community.
The annual Global Traveler Tested Awards ceremony will be held at the Grand Hyatt luxury hotel in New York.
“The fact that Czech Airlines has won this prestigious award for the second year in a row is an important message to our current and future customers. It proves that we always pay attention to the quality of our service and the safety of our flights. And it also indicates our success in pursuing our strategy of becoming the bridge between the East and the West,” said Jaroslav Pánek, CSA’s Executive Director for Sales and Marketing, who will be accepting the award in New York on behalf of CSA.
The SkyTeam Alliance was named the ‘2005 Best Airline Alliance’. CSA has been a member of SkyTeam since 2001.
Besides CSA, another of the alliance’s member carriers - Air France - has also won an award this year, being selected by the magazine’s readers as the ‘Best Transatlantic Airline’.
“Averaging about 32 roundtrip flights per year, Global Traveler readers make up part of the core business and luxury travel market,” said Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO of Global Traveler.
He added, “This market benefits from the expanded worldwide access SkyTeam offers as a result of the alliance’s significant growth - in terms of members and network - over the past year. This growth, along with the individual recognition CSA Czech Airlines and Air France received in this year’s survey helped SkyTeam win 2005 Best Airline Alliance.”
